FT60 Review - An Honest Overview of the Polar FT60

!±8± FT60 Review - An Honest Overview of the Polar FT60

The FT series of heart rate monitors have several distinct features that help to set the Polar FT60 apart. There are four different designs for women and men to choose from. A comfortable fit, with the ability to make adjustments, make the wrist strap one of a kind in its class. If you are considering purchasing this Polar model, perhaps this FT60 review will help you make your decision.

This heart rate monitor has a creative new design, making it more attractive than ever. The women's watches are decorated with floral patterns, while the men's watches have a bolder look that includes a circuit board pattern. My personal opinion is that Polar has made their watches look too much like toys than fitness gear. The people in my office have differing feelings about the watches, so it really depends on what sort of look you prefer.

Using the watch is fairly simple, even with the many features offered by this model. To limit the number of letters and digits you have to use, the screen contains many icons and other graphics. Because of this format the screen is easy to read during even very vigorous exercise.

Polar STAR is the primary component upon which this particular watch is based. Polar STAR provides you with weekly training targets based on input from your previous workouts, making it easy to set and meet goals for yourself. You can always download new exercises from polarpersonaltrainer.com.

The Polar FT60 employs the technology of the Polar t31 WearLink heart rate belt. This provides the most comfortable fit, as well as the most reliable and interference free transmission of data. You don't have to worry about other heart rate monitors or any type of gym machines interfering with the functioning of your unit, or potential skewing of the data it records. The only problem we have come across so far is that a battery did not work in one of the heart rate straps; otherwise they are easy to use and convenient to wear. All we had to do was change the battery and the problem was solved.

The FT60 can be used while playing just about any sport as well. If you choose to utilize the speed and distance calculations provided by the Polar S1 foot pad and the Polar G1 GPS sensor, your HRM will be providing you with even more information on your workout and fitness levels. Simple to install and operate, the sensors are quite effective. But the Polar G1 GPS sensor does not allow for more than simple speed and distance calculations. So if you are looking for a complete mapping feature, check into the Polar s725x,more expensive but worth the price if you want the additional information.
